Bridging your story and citizenship journey

Trauma-informed and culturally responsive immigration psychological evaluations for adults and families navigating the U.S. immigration process.

What is an Immigration Psychological Evaluation?

Immigration cases often involve experiences that are deeply impactful, and your attorney may request a mental health assessment or psychological evaluation to support your case.

An immigration evaluation, also known as an immigration psychological evaluation, is a clinical assessment conducted by a licensed mental health professional to examine how experiences of trauma, abuse, persecution, and separation affects you and your family in relation to your immigration case.

At Kindred Counseling and Wellness, we provide comprehensive, court-ready psychological evaluation reports that clearly document the emotional and psychological impact of these experiences. Our evaluations are conducted with a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive approach and are designed to provide a clear, professional account of your experiences and their psychological effects for consideration as part of your immigration case.

Evaluations We Provide

Our Process

01
Initial Consultation

A 15-minute consultation to understand your needs and the purpose of the evaluation.

We begin with an initial virtual consultation to learn more about your circumstances, discuss the purpose of the evaluation, and determine whether our services are appropriate for your needs.

02
Clinical Interview

A 2-3 hour interview exploring your experiences, history, and psychological functioning.

During this 2-3 hour clinical interview, we explore your personal history, relevant experiences, psychological functioning, and the circumstances related to your immigration case in a supportive, compassionate, and trauma-informed manner.

03
Report Delivery

A comprehensive report is provided to your attorney or designated recipient.

Following the evaluation, a comprehensive report that documents relevant clinical findings and psychological factors will be sent to your attorney with a turn around time of 2-3 weeks.
